Design and construction of retaining shore walls of straight sheet piles. The construction of retaining walls using straight sheet piles is a necessary measure aimed at protecting the coastal line from various problems associated with erosion, subsidence, coastal landslide, erosion of slopes etc.

There are several types of straight sheet piles: PVC, composite materials, metal, concrete and wood. Depending on the chosen type of straight sheet piles, the method of immersion is chosen:

  • percussion (hammering in piles) is considered to be the most versatile;
  • vibration (using a vibratory pile driver) is the most suitable for sandy and dry soil;

The first stage is the study of the territory (coast) in which the work will be carried out, as well as the implementation of calculations: the height of the retaining wall, the type and volume of materials and the deadline for implementation of work.

After obtaining the calculated data, architectural and planning decisions are made, engineering and technical studies and a number of environmental/fire safety measures are carried out and a construction plan is developed.
